Ilene Caldwell

Ilene Hulda Archibald Caldwell, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 29, 2017, at her home.

She was born October 2, 1932, in Weston, Idaho, to William "Bill" Archibald and Verda M. Nelson Archibald. Her early years were spent in Weston, then she moved with her family to Grace, Idaho, where she attended schools.

On March 30, 1950, she married William Richard Caldwell in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union were born six children: Vickie, Paula, Debra, Lacindia, Benita, and Stewart. Ilene was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a baker for Maverik. Her husband, William, preceded her in death on August 18, 2014.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, berry picking, mushroom picking and just driving on old dirt roads. She also enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family.

Ilene is survived by her daughter, Vickie Lee Coy of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Paula Gae (Ron) Baker of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Debra Jean (William) Fitch of Rigby, ID; daughter, Lacindia Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Benita (Mike) McMinn of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Stewart W. Caldwell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Lamont Archibald of Soda Springs, ID; brother, Bobby Archibald of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Jerry (Karen) Archibald of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Phyllis Osburn of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Danice (Junior) Storer of Idaho Falls, ID; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, & 16 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Peggy Robinson; son-in-law, Dean Coy; sisters-in-law, Clara Archibald and Carma Archibald; and brother-in-law, Glenn Osburn.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, prior to leaving for the cemetery.
