Ilean Oakey - 10/25/2002 Ilean Oakey - 10/25/2002 ILEAN OAKEY IDAHO FALLS, ID: Ilean Oakey, 73, of Idaho Falls, died October 24, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born August 23, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alfred Durtschi and Mary Sadie Spanton. She grew up and attended schools there, graduating from Granite High School. She married Hyrum Poll Oakey on September 15, 1948 in Pocatello. They lived in Pocatello for 10 years before moving to Idaho Falls. She worked as a secretary at Garrett Freightlines for several years. She later worked for School District #91 in the cafeteria at Westside Elementary. She was secretary for the Senior Citizen League at Plaza Lanes. She was a wonderful seamstress, enjoyed crafts, was the ultimate hostess, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, Jacob and Russell Ware. Surviving are:Daughter: Mary Ann (David) Ware, Blackfoot, IDDaughter: Paula Oakey, Salt Lake City, UTBrother: Kenneth Durtschi, Couer d'Alene, ID2 GrandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her husband and 2 brothers, Lynn and Brent Durtschi.
