Hyrum J. Longmore - 03/31/2003 Hyrum J. Longmore - 03/31/2003 HYRUM J. LONGMORE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Hyrum Jesse Longmore, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 30, 2003 in Idaho Falls. He was born October 5, 1918, in Thomas, Idaho, to George Brooks Longmore and Maud Mary Walters Longmore. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Thomas High School. He married Irene Wanda Smith on August 26, 1940 and they had nine children. Later, they were divorced. On April 15, 1970, he married Ruth Barnes Allen in Blackfoot. He worked as a carpenter and as a farmer. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , he served in numerous callings, including a mission to Houston, Texas. Upon returning to Idaho, he dedicated much of his time as a temple worker. He loved animals, especially horses, and enjoyed singing, playing several musical instruments, reading, and camping. He returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Park Taylor Ward ( 5255 South 5 West) with Bishop Kris Wright officiating. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Riverside-Thomas Cemetery in Blackfoot under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
