Hunter M. Dale Mayes, 23, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 31, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Hunter was born November 13, 1995, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Casey Lee Hansen and Katie Rachelle Mayes. He grew up and attended schools in Roberts, Idaho, and graduated from Jefferson High School. He had previously worked at Home Reach. At the time of his passing he was working at School District 93 and Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Roberts 1st Ward. Hunter loved the outdoors where he could hunt, fish, and camp. He was always ready for an adventure with his brothers and sisters. Hunter enjoyed video games, long boarding, and hanging out with his nieces and nephews who called him "Uncle Henry." Hunter loved his brothers and sisters, and they were his best friends. He treated everyone and everything equally. He was the most genuine, caring, loving, and respectful person. Hunter made sure to tell everyone that he loved them every day. Hunter is survived by his loving parents; brothers, Christopher Mayes, Taylor (Kaylie Avery) Hansen, and Gatlynn Mayes, all of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Jordain Blom, Madisen Mayes, and Katelynn Mayes all of Idaho Falls, ID; grandparents, Evan Mayes, Vicki England, LeeAnne (Darrell) Hodge and Darwin Hansen; and great-grandparents, Shirley Hodge and Belva Hansen; and his dog, Bella. A gathering will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday April 5, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. Please dress casual for the occasion.
