Howard Lee Droescher, Jr.

Howard Lee Droescher, 84, of Butte, Montana, passed away September 26, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.

Howard was born September 24, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Howard Lee Droescher and Georgiana Kruthaup Droescher. He grew up and attended schools in Terrace Park, Ohio, and Pensacola, Florida. Howard joined the United States Navy in March 1959 and served until March 1962. He served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He married Launa Hasty on January 13, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later divorced. Howard was married two more times. He made his home in Santa Maria, California; Santa Barbara, California; Plano, Texas; Belton, Texas; Caselton, Nevada; Henderson, Nevada; Arizona; and Montana. He drove truck for both private owners, long haul, and for the Teamsters Union in Las Vegas.

He enjoyed working on model trains and was a member of the Southern Nevada Railroad Club.

Howard is survived by his children, Barbara Lee Droescher (Nukul) Hearing of Las Vegas, NV, and David Lee Droescher of Fillmore, UT; and granddaughter, Phoebe Joy “P.J.” Hearing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Georgiana Droescher.
