HOWARD ANDREW
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Howard Frederick Andrew, 86, of Idaho
Falls, died July 11, 2004, at the home of his daughter in Henderson, Nevada
following a lingering illness.
He was born March 1, 1918, in Menan, Idaho, to Joseph
Gibby Andrew and Sara Esther Ellis Andrew. He grew up in Idaho Falls and
attended schools here, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He then
attended electrical school in Santa Monica, California. While attending
school in California, he worked for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft. He served
as a Electrician’s Mate Second Class in the U. S. Navy during World
War II and was on the first ship into the China Sea.
He married Vie Ricks in July, 1941, in the St. George
LDS Temple. She passed away July 10, 1950. He married Anna Marie Terry
Jeffers in July, 1952, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She passed away
July 10, 1994.
Howard and his brother, Verl J. Andrew, were longtime
owners and operators of Andrew Well Drilling. He lived in Idaho Falls
most of his life, but wintered in St. George during the past ten years.
He has lived the past nine months in Henderson, Nevada, with his daughter,
Marie.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he served as Sunday School President, in the Young Men's program,
and was a high priest. He was President of the Idaho Water Well Association
several times and also served as President of the National Water Well
Association. Howard trained as a pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed golfing,
his cabin at Henry's Lake, and formed the “9 Hole Bandits”
Club in St. George. Howard loved people.

29 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by both his wives, a son, Clyde Andrew.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15,
2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Central Stake Center, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive,
with Bishop Cleo Geddes of the Idaho Falls LDS 28th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood
Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour prior to the services
at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County
Veterans Team.
