LEE ANDERSON Click here to view Lee's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Homer "Lee" Anderson, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 28, 2008, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village. He was born September 27, 1917, in Elwood, Utah, to Homer LaSalle Anderson and Geneva May Pack Anderson. He attended public schools in Utah. He attended Utah State University in 1936. He attended Brigham Young University in 1938 and 1939. He served as a Major in the U.S. Army National Guard during World War II and the Korean War. He married Ina Ruth Eames in Woods Cross, Utah on February 7, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He married Vera "Lettie" Hill Madsen on June 2, 1988, in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a financial clerk and as High Priest Group Leader. He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, gardening, attending BYU games, and spending time with his family. Survivors include: Wife: Lettie Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Barbara Griggs, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Janet (Steven) Wolf, Soda Springs, ID Stepdaughter: Bonnie (Lance) Hendricks, Billings, MT Stepdaughter: Marilyn Madsen, Salt Lake City, UT Stepdaughter: Peggy (Shane) Bush, Idaho Falls, ID Stepson: Rock (Kim) Madsen Brother: Newell Anderson, Layton, UT Sister: Phyllis Hardman, Centerville, UT Sister: Gloria Dennison, Murray, UT Sister: Miriam Overstreet, Murray, UT 10 Grandchildren, 13 Step-Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, 29 Step-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth Anderson; a son, Lyndon Earl Anderson; a daughter, Gale Christine Anderson; and a brother, LaMarr Anderson Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the Idaho Falls LDS Grandview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop William Morehead officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and on Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park and Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. ---------------------------------------------
