Helen was born December 28, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest C. Wadsworth and Stella Jenkins Wadsworth. After her early years in Utah, the family moved to Sugar City, Idaho, when Helen was in the first grade. She graduated from Sugar Salem High School prior to attending Ricks College, where she met her husband to be. She married Milton A. Romrell in the Salt lake City LDS Temple on August 27, 1940. After their marriage, they lived briefly in Boston, Massachusetts, and then moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she resided until her death. Helen was a great homemaker and made her home a welcomed place for family, friends, friends of her children, and for those in need. She was active in the PTA, serving as room mother for three of her children's classes each year while her boys were passing through Emerson Elementary School. For her PTA commitment and service, she received the Life Membership Award. Her community service also included many years of donating time as a 'Pink Lady' at the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital. She received a Community Involvement Award in recognition award of over 1,000 hours of service. She pursued all of her own interests with passion and optimism. Her interests and hobbies included: time with and support of her family and friends, sports, games of all kinds, writing poetry and music, cooking, reading, and staying current on local and national affairs. Having six boys, all very active in school, sports, music and work, she was committed to attending every performance, game and recital in which her children participated, regardless how large or small the role her child had. Helen was a faithful and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She diligently served the church in Ward and Stake callings as Relief Society President and teacher, in the Young Women's program and was especially grateful for the opportunity to serve as Matron of the Idaho Falls LDS Temple while her husband served as Temple President. Her favorite calling in the church, and one for which she was renowned, was the calling of Sunday School Teacher, where she demonstrated a love for, and insight into spiritual understanding and had a tremendous ability to pass this to those she taught, especially young men and women. Survivors include his six sons, R. Roger (Joan) Romrell of Surprise, Arizona; Lynn J. (Debbie) Romrell of Gainesville, Florida; Kent M. (Deon) Romrell of Idaho Falls; Ronald E. (Jan) Romrell of Idaho Falls; Hal W. (Debbie) Romrell of Sandy, Utah; Thomas J. (Lindy) Romrell of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Helen K. (Charles) Goo of Laie, Hawaii; 34 grandchildren; and 78 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton A. Romrell, a brother, a sister, a son, and two grandsons.
