HELEN Y. MORI IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Helen Y. Mori, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 11, 2007, at her home from causes incident to age She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. She was born April 15, 1914, in Gardena, California, to Heikuro Ogata and Yone Fukushima Ogata. She grew up and attended schools in Bakersfield, California. She married Lloyd Mori April 6, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have lived in Idaho Falls for 62 years. She worked as a cook for Jess Hayes, drove truck & tractor for the Brinkmann's, owned and managed the Ririe Hotel, worked at Bonded Produce, and worked for Farr's Jewelry 17 years before retiring. She was a member of the Japanese American Citizen's League. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchilren, going to Jackpot to play slots, cooking for friends and family, camping, fishing, gardening and planning family reunions in Las Vegas. Survivors include: Husband: Lloyd Mori, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sally (Keiji) Hayashida, San Gabriel, CA Son: David L. Mori, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Stephen W. (Nancy) Mori, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Gilbert (Florence) Ogata, Boise, ID Sister: Kameko Ogata, JP Sister: Lily Nishimoto, CA Sister-in-law: Tats Ogata, MT 8 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George, Alex and Mickey Ogata. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls.
