Helen Diane McMullin, 72, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away May 14, 2016, at Fairwinds Sand Creek.
Helen was born December 26, 1943, in San Jose, California to Lawrence B Lindsley and Margaret Estella Hawkes Lindsley. She grew up and attended schools in Drummond and Ashton, Idaho, and graduated from North Fremont High School. Helen also attended San Jose State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
On April 18, 1975, she married Jerry L. McMullin in Las Vegas, Nevada. Helen and Jerry lived at Grand Canyon National Park where she was a law enforcement park ranger. They then relocated to Yellowstone National Park. They eventually made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Helen worked as a computer specialist for the Bureau of Land Management.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Bonneville Historical Society. Helen enjoyed free lance writing, stained glass crafts and beading.
Helen is survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McMullin; father, Lawrence B Lindsley; and her mother, Margaret Estella Lindsley.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho, with Jeff Hawkes officiating.
