Helen Duffy Larsen, 90, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on December 5, 2011, from complications of a stroke and her advanced age. She was born in Annis, Idaho on March 1, 1921, to Jacob Antone Duffy and Amelia Mariah Brown Duffy. She had two sisters and a brother: Margaret (Otis) Lemmon, Roba (Monte) Montgomery, and Jesse Arthur Duffy. She married her faithful, loving husband, DeWitt James Larsen in 1945. Helen loved horses and flowers. She and DeWitt were active in Junior Posse with their kids and raced horses for many years. They raced and bred horses for most of the latter years of their marriage. Helen was a member and had her endowments in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Daisy) Larsen of Littleton, Colorado; daughter, Terri (Merle) Morgan of Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandson, Jake (Tracey) Morgan and their 5 children – Shayne, Kody, Erika, Kayla, and Brooklyn; grandson, Jess (Shelley) Morgan and their son, Kaden; grandson, Trevor (Tiffany) Morgan; grandson, Jason Morgan; Granddaughter, Cindy (Rick) Bates and their son, Kolten; granddaughter, Desirae (Scott) Wheeler and their 2 children – Cole and Alisha. All of the grandchildren and great grandchildren live in Idaho Falls with the exception of Kody Morgan who is serving a mission for the LDS Church to England. She was preceded in death by her brother, her two sisters, her parents, and her beloved husband, DeWitt, who passed away in 1984. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Woodville LDS 2nd Ward (1555 N. 700 E., Shelley). The family will visit with friends on Monday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Little Butte Cemetery in Annis, Idaho.
