Helen Elaine Grimaud, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 4, 2021, at The Gables of Ammon. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and her loving family.
Helen was born May 15, 1961, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Adrian Vernon Grimaud and Carolyn Faye Cornwall Grimaud. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, including Bonneville High School. She managed multiple restaurants, including Sensuous Sandwich, Corn Dog Factory, Sandpiper, and A&W.
In 1980, she married Marvin Beaty and they had a son, Zachary. Helen and Marvin were later divorced.
In 1996, she married Wayne O’Neil in Idaho Falls, and they were later divorced. She also worked at the BLM, and then in Safety at the INL.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed pool and succeeded in multiple competitions. She loved spending time at Eagle’s Lodge. She especially loved children and family.
Helen is survived by her son, Zachary Beaty; siblings, Marilyn Henry, Janet (Stan) Ingram, Shirley Henry, Barbara Francis, and Allen (Sherri) Grimaud, all of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Carolyn Grimaud; brother, Richard Grimaud; brothers-in-law, Bill Henry and Randy Francis; and nephew, Mathew Henry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 10-11:30 a.m., with memories being shared at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wood Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
