HELEN CORDINGLEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Helen Elizabeth Wilcomb Cordingley, 93, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Ashton, died October 11, 2009, at Lincoln Court Retirement Center in Idaho Falls. She was under the care of Creekside Hospice.
She was born July 28, 1916, at Ashton, Idaho, to Charles Grover Wilcomb and Florence Martha Dean Wilcomb. She grew up and attended schools in Ashton.
On December 12, 1936, she was married to Donald Cordingley and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 20, 1948. They made their home in Ashton, where Helen was a homemaker and mother. They later moved to Challis and managed Challis Hot Springs for over 16 years.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and Sunday School organizations. Helen enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

Son: Robert "Bob" (Arlene) Cordingley of Grant, ID
Daughter: Reinita Cordingley of Idaho Falls, ID
7 Grandchildren & 16 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Cordingley, a grandchild, Deena Kay Cordingley, and one great grandchild, Regan Michael Lee.
A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009, at the Ashton LDS 1st Ward, 1313 North 3600 East. Graveside Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the Ashton-Pineview Cemetery with Bishop Lynn Ballard officiating.
