Heidi Marie Urbanski, 65, was born in Detroit, MI, grew up in Dearborn Heights, MI, moved to Pittsburgh, PA after marriage, before finally making Idaho Falls home for the last 38 years. She passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at home with her loving husband Charlie at her side. She was cared for during her two-year bout with breast cancer by her husband, with support from the Idaho Cancer Center and Brio Home Health and Hospice.
Heidi was born on September 21, 1960, to Klaus Dittmann and Betty Jo (Cheshire) Dittmann. She attended Guardian Lutheran Grade School, graduated from Crestwood High School, and attended Eastern Michigan University.
On August 27, 1982, she married Charles J. Urbanski at St. Linus Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, MI. Once married, Heidi worked occasionally as a bookkeeper and later at a call center solving customers' technical internet issues.
She was a woman of faith and attended Holy Rosary and Christ the King Catholic Churches. Her hobbies included being on the computer, scouring social media, and playing online games. She was an avid reader, reading anything and everything. She loved asking questions and challenging Charlie when his answers were subpar. She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed making turkey dinner with all the fixings during the holidays.
Heidi is survived by Charlie, her faithful and devoted husband of 43 years, and in all those years they never had a fight. Their dogs Finley & Toby miss her too.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Klaus and Betty Jo Dittmann.
No services will be held at this time. She will be interred in a columbarium at Christ Lutheran Church in Sedona, AZ, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering for close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local Breast Cancer Awareness fund.
