Hazel Mcspadden

Dorothy Hazel Leird Greenmyer McSpadden, 89, passed away May 13, 2011 at Bonaventure Senior Living Community of Idaho Falls. Hazel was born October 24, 1921 in Kinta, Oklahoma, to Onie Leird and Venita Raper Leird. She grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma. Throughout her life, she has lived in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Idaho. She married Orval Greenmyer and together they raised three children. Orval passed away in 1966. Hazel later married Troy McSpadden. He proceeded her in death. Hazel was a mother and a homemaker and also worked as a retail clerk. She loved to read, do puzzles, and travel. Survivors include her son, Larry Greenmyer of Sierra Vista, Arizona; daughter, Sharon Brooks of Idaho Falls; sister, Jean Guess of California; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Orval and Troy, her daughter Barbara Jane Bunger, three brothers, and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
