Click Here To View Memorial Video Harvy Deward Hebdon, 62, passed away October 21, 2013, near Jerome, Idaho, while driving truck. He was born July 2, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Truman Deward Hebdon and Winona Larsen Hebdon. He graduated from Skyline High School, then joined the U. S. Air Force. Following his Air Force service he joined the National Guard and helped in Rexburg during the Teton Dam Flood. While in the service he attended training school in Texas to become an airplane mechanic. He worked as a diesel mechanic for several years, then went to Idaho Technical College to become an electrician after he broke his back. He was a licensed journeyman electrician until the economy faltered and he couldn’t find work. At that point he went back to ITC and took training to become a truck driver. In 2005 he went to work for Doug Andrus Trucking, where he worked until recently, when he went to US Freightways. He was known by all of his friends and family as a jack-of-all-trades and was always willing to help anyone. He married Aloma Cook in 1976. They divorced in 1987. He married Judy Shurtliff in Idaho Falls on April 29, 2007. He enjoyed camping and being with his family. Harvy is survived by his wife, Judy Hebdon of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Nikki (Mike) Stanley of Idaho Falls, ID Son, Shawn Steven (Laura) Hebdon of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Rhondo Benson of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Truman Hebdon of St. George, UT; Sister, Linda Stoddart of Tremonton, UT; Sister, Gloria (Jed) Ritter of Arco, ID; Three Granddaughters, Tyffani, Bryttani and Lillie. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David Hebdon and Grant Benson, and a brother-in-law, Rex Stoddart. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Pastor Mark Paulsen of the Rexburg Calvary Chapel officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at a date to be determined later.
