Harry George Schuldt Jr., 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 1, 2017, at his home surrounded by family. He was under the care of One Source Home Health & Hospice. He was born May 31, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Harry George Sr. and Flora Marker Schuldt. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1949. In August 1950, he enlisted in the United States Navy in the Seabee Battalion as a BU2 builder where he served for four years. He was stationed at Port Hueneme, California; Yokosuka, Japan; and Guam (Mariana Islands). In the early 1960s, he began to work at C&C Furniture in Idaho Falls until 1977. After that he began his own building company as Harry Schuldt Construction for 35 years. On May 9, 1951, he married Marva E. Bergeson in Idaho Falls. They have lived in Idaho Falls throughout their 66 years of marriage. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, bowling, football, track and softball. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Marva Schuldt of Idaho Falls; daughter, Dorothea (Kris) Larson of Burley, ID; son, Larry (Ronda) Schuldt of Idaho Falls; son, Michael (Lisa) Schuldt of Tooele, UT; son, Brian Schuldt of Idaho Falls; daughter, Laurie (Brad) Jordan of Idaho Falls; sister, Marilyn (Ron) Schuldt Blacker of Idaho Falls; sister-in-law, Sybil Schuldt of Boise, ID; 19 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard and Jerry Schuldt, and sister, Betty Lou Schuldt. Special thanks from the family to One Source Home Health & Hospice caregivers, Jen, Kelsie and Meagan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Stanley Searle of the Woodville LDS 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
