Harry Banker Hill, 79, of Ammon, passed away November 4, 2015, at his home. He was under the care of Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
Harry was born April 2, 1936, in Ririe, Idaho, to Harry Harmon Hill and Elzina Marie Adams Hill. At the age of five, his family moved to Idaho Falls. He attended O.E. Bell Junior High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Idaho State University vocational technical school in drafting and design. He served in the United States Marine Corps.
On October 24, 1958, he married Phyllis Jean Olsen in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple where they were sealed together for time and all eternity. To this union were born three daughters, Lynette, Karelyn, and Lynda. Harry and Phyllis made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Harry worked for School District #91 as custodial maintenance, and for Argonne and E.G. & G Services as a draftsman for eleven years. In 1987, they moved to Clearfield, Utah, where he worked for Thiokol Propulsion and Alliant Techsystems in Brigham City as a senior designer until his retirement in 2001. He and Phyllis moved back to Ammon in 2001.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many leadership positions and served in the Idaho Falls Temple for nine years. He enjoyed fishing, prospecting, and rock collecting. He loved reading, especially about history and politics. He enjoyed family history research and genealogy. He loved his family very much.

his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis Hill of Idaho Falls, ID;
daughter, Karel Lynette (Breck) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID;
daughter, Karelyn Jean (Bill) LaLone of Nipomo, CA;
daughter, Lynda Joy (Dan) Crall of Bremerton, WA;
9 grandchildren, Amber, Nathan, Jonathan, Katie, Lisa, Jennifer, Zack, Keith, and Eric;
3 step-grandchildren, Jerry, Michael, and Chrissy;
and 9 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Paige, Madysen, Claire, Luke, Hyrum, Rachel, Patrice, and Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Harmon Hill, mother, Elzina Marie Hill, his sister Della Marie Hill, and two stillborn grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Ammon LDS 3rd Ward, 2150 Avocet Avenue, with Bishop Jed Stanger officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
