Harold Turner

Harold Turner, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 30, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls of cancer. Harold was born May 27, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Hyrum Perry Turner and Donna Irene Park Turner. He spent his early years in Alpine, Wyoming, then later attended Jordan High School in Utah. Throughout his life Harold lived in numerous cities in Idaho, Utah, and Star Valley, Wyoming. He married Cheryl Caroline Webb August 12, 1970, in the Salt Lake Valley. In his younger years he worked as a dairy farmer, janitor, security guard, for the Sandy, Utah, City Parks & Recreation Department. Harold worked as an auto mechanic most of his life. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Harold loved fishing, camping, being with his family, cooking, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and drawing. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cheryl, three daughters, Jacquelynn Marie Coates-Bennett of Santa Clara, CA, and Margene Lee Neeley and Holly Mary Collet, both of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Chauncey Leeroy Scoggan of Santa Clara, CA; Brother, Duane Turner of Washington; Five sisters, Louise Johansen, Lynette Saccomano, Carolyn Mustard, Debbie Turner, and Lori Ann Turner, all of Utah; 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Hyrum Turner, and his parents. A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 785 East 1st Street, in Idaho Falls.
