Harold C. Sermon

Harold C. Sermon, 82, of Ririe, Idaho, passed away July 11, 2026, at his home.

Harold was born December 13, 1943, in Rigby, Idaho, to Frank Bush Sermon and Doris Sophia Christensen Sermon. He grew up on a farm just outside of Ririe. He attended Ririe High School and Blackfoot High School. Afterward, Harold served in the United States Navy.

On January 23, 1993, he married Susan Quinn at the Church in the Valley in Swan Valley, Idaho. They made their home in Ririe where Harold worked as a commercial painter.

He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed restoring old cars, singing, playing guitar, and riding horses.

Harold is survived by his wife, Susan Sermon of Ririe, ID; sons, Clinton Sermon of Ririe, ID, Patrick (Anabelle) Brody of Salt Lake City, UT, John Brody of Idaho Falls, ID, Dan (Bryn) Brody of Denver, CO; sister, Beauty Jardine; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Fred Sermon and Steve Sermon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery where Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Navy Guard.
