HAROLD CLAPP Click here to view Hal's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Harold Ira Clapp, 74, passed away, November 23, 2008 at his home. He was under the care of Alliance Hospice. He was born September 29, 1934 in Iona,, to Alvin Louis Clapp and Beulah Jane Schley Clapp. He attended schools in Osgood, Shelley and Ogden, Utah and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1954. He served in the United States Navy. He married Karilyn Joy Mecham on September 26, 1959 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 5, 1965. Harold worked for Tractor Sales for 35 years as their baler mechanic retiring in 2001 due to health problems. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Harold enjoyed bowling, square dancing, golfing and meeting with friends at the truck stop. He is survived by his wife, Karilyn of Iona; Son, Richard, of Iona; Son, Todd, of Iona; Daughter, Susan (Jeff)Walden of Idaho Falls; Sister, Colleen (Marlowe) Barber of Idaho Falls; Marilyn (William) Thompson of Yuma, AZ; 3 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arlin. Funeral Services will be at 11:00a.m. Wednesday, November 26 at the Iona LDS Central Building (5169 Denning), with Bishop John Kim Ryan officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25 at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and from 10-1045 .a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
