HAROLD BROWN
ROBERTS, ID -- Harold Delos Brown, 85, of Roberts, passed away February 10, 2006, at the Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 27, 1921, in Idaho Falls, to Ben Brown and Louise Catherine Catrina “Lizzie” Jahn Brown. He lived in Idaho Falls until he was five, when the family moved to a farm outside Roberts. He attended schools in Roberts. Harold worked on area farms until he entered the Marine Corps and served during World War II. He was stationed in Guam, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
After discharge from the military, he returned to the family dairy farm. He and his older brother worked the farm until retirement. He continued to live on the family farm until his death.
Harold enjoyed boating and fishing on the Snake River that borders the farm. Other hobbies included fly tying and woodworking. He took great pleasure in his woodworking projects that he gave to his extended family. He was a private and gentle man who will be missed by all who loved him.
Harold is survived by his brother, Lionel Brown, his sister, Velma John, both of Idaho Falls, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Clem, Lorin, Don, Doyle, and Glenn.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends Thursday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
