HAROLD BATEMAN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Harold Charles Bateman, 91, of Idaho Falls, died January 14, 2008, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
He was born July 4, 1916, in Alexander, North Dakota, to Richard Bateman and Ethel Grimmer Bateman. He grew up and attended schools in the area. In 1932, he graduated from Fort Benton High School. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as a Chief Petty Officer.
On November 28, 1946, he married Letha Willmore in Rexburg, Idaho. She passed away November 3, 1997. Together they had three sons and one daughter. Harold lived in Idaho Falls for 62 years and managed several stores in the area, including Idaho Falls Hardware, The Mart, and Ace Hardware.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Joalene, a brother, Richard, and three sisters, Agnes, Ethel, and Violet.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Fielding Memorial Park.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Memorial Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
