Harland Hendricks

Harland Russell Hendricks, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 7, 2026, at home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Harland was born January 17, 1939, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Felix Mason Hendricks and Doris Charlene Fish Hendricks. He grew up in Pocatello and Twin Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. After high school, Harland served in the United States Army. There, he completed their construction drafting school and was then stationed in Guam. After he was discharged, he attended Idaho State University. There, he got his degree in drafting and started his 41-year career at the INEEL.

On March 24, 1961, he married Jenese Moser in Idaho Falls. They had three children, Russell, Fred, and Shawna. They had been married 42 years when they divorced.

On April 17, 2003, he married Beverly Jene Huntsman in Jackson, Wyoming. Harland and Beverly made their home in Ammon, Idaho.

He loved his dogs and enjoyed gardening, cars, model airplanes, and classic guns. He made many Native American artifacts, such as beaded leather pieces, necklaces, peace pipes, and knives. He loved going to mountain man rendezvous.

Harland is survived by his wife, Beverly Hendricks of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Harland Russell (Ginger) Hendricks of Syracuse, UT; daughter, Shawna (Steve) Avery of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Michael (Cathy) Moser of Boise, ID; daughter, Jori (Jason) Swofford of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Doug (Shirley) Hendricks of Taylorsville, UT; and brother, Robert (Kim) Hendricks of Midway, UT.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Fredrick Mason Hendricks.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4600 S. Yellowstone Highway.
