HATTIE MAYES
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Hariet “Hattie” Mayes, 95, of Idaho Falls, died November 6, 2007, at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Ammon.
She was born April 1, 1912, in Thayne, Wyoming, to David Gilbert Garrett and Jane Caroline Robbins Garrett. She attended schools in Alpine, Wyoming and Idaho.
On November 24, 1937, she married Hadley Clarence Mayes in Alpine, Wyoming. She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked at Small Armes in St. Louis and for 25 years at Roger Brothers in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for 15 years in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple before she retired. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles.

Son: DeWayne (Evelyn) Mayes, Idaho Falls, ID
9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, a brother, and a son, Eric Hadley Mayes.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, 885 South Boulevard, with Bishop Peter Demitropoulos officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
