Berniece was born July 7, 1928, in Lincoln, Idaho, to Raymond Joseph Hogan and Emma Ann Tracy Hogan. She grew up and attended schools in Lincoln and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1946.
On December 24,1947, she married Norman Belnap in Idaho Falls. To this union were born seven children, Robert, Reed, Ralph, Randal, Rita, Roxanna, and Ellen. She raised her children while working full time in various potato processing plants. Berniece and Norman made their home in Taylor, Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon retirement from Pillsbury, Berniece spent most of her time quilting, knitting or crocheting afghans and baby blankets for her children and grandchildren.
Berniece is survived by her son, Robert (Joan) Belnap of Aloha, OR; son, Reed (LaRae) Belnap of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Ralph (Louise) Belnap of Elizabeth, CO; son, Randal (Sheryl) Belnap of Taylor, TX; daughter, Rita (Kurt) Jensen of El Paso, TX; daughter, Roxanna Rawls of San Bernardino, CA; daughter, Roselie Belnap of Hailey, ID; brother, Raymond (Marie) Hogan of Blackfoot, ID; sister, Dorothy (Ray)Barker of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sharon (Larry) Corsini of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Eva McGary of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, George Sparr of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Kay (Jerry) Bregg of Midland, MI; 19 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Belnap; father, Raymond Joseph Hogan; mother, Emma Ann Tracy Hogan; and her brothers, Harold "Buster" Hogan and Dennis Hogan.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Parkview LDS Ward, 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Dale Petersen officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m prior. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
