Gwen Stevens

Gwen Stevens, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 8, 2019, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of her loving family and Solace Hospice. Gwen was born June 29, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Manuel D Denning and Zola Hansen Denning. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. On February 14, 1957, she married Junior Thomas Stevens in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born seven children, Paul, Rodney, Gaylynn, Raela, Dee, Carrie and Clint. Gwen and Junior made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their children. She enjoyed camping and completing jigsaw and word puzzles. Gwen is survived by her son, Rodney Stevens of Idaho Falls; daughter, Gaylynn (Carl) Carlson of Idaho Falls; daughter, Raela (Tony) Jenkins of Boise, ID; son, Dee (Tammy) Stevens of Idaho Falls; daughter, Carrie (Frank) Parkinson of Rexburg, ID; brother, Dean Denning of Arco, ID; brother, Dennis Denning of Idaho Falls; sister, Gail Soliday of Idaho Falls; brother, Phillip Denning of Idaho Falls; sister, Lois (Wendell) Dunn of Rupert, ID; sister, Carol (Bob) Denham of American Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior Stevens; sons, Paul and Clint Stevens; brothers, Duane, Dell and Deloss Denning; sisters, Oma Denning, Jewel Campbell, Janice Perez and Irma Cornwall. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
