GWEN M. JENKINS
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Gwendola (Gwen) Mangum Caughie Jenkins,
84, of Idaho Falls, died August 1, 2003, at Life Care Center.
She was born October 8, 1918 at Bicknell, Utah to William
Henry Mangum and Burl Atellia Mangum. The family moved to Woodville, Utah
where she grew up and attended school. At the age of 14, she moved to Idaho
Falls, where she spent the rest of her life.
In 1934, she married Richard Caughie. After 34 years of
marriage, they were divorced. On July 24, 1971, she married Donald Robert
Jenkins in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls
LDS Temple on January 27, 1979. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker and
also worked at White Star Laundry, Western Potato, and R. F. French. She
was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including the Relief
Society Presidency. She served a mission with her husband to Atlanta, Georgia
and was a temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. She enjoyed fishing,
crafts, quilting, gardening, scouting and especially getting together with
her family.

Son: Dick (Jan) Caughie, Yuma, AZ
Daughter: Norma Schuldt, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Pat (Larry) Burgess, Idaho Falls, ID
16 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jenkins; four brothers,
Howard Mangum, George Mangum, Lester Mangum, and Garth Mangum; and two sisters,
Lena Nelson and Gladys Browning.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August
6, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward, (955 Memorial Drive), with Bro.
Gary Orchard officiating.
The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services
at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402-4092
