DUANE BROWNING
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Guy Duane Browning, 82, of Iona, died
May 10, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 25, 1923 at Tetonia to Guy A. Browning and Cecil Ora Byrne
Browning. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He served in
the U. S. Navy during World War II as a First Class Radio Technician and Petty
Officer.
On June 16, 1943, he married Kathryn Hansen in Berkeley,
California. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on
March 18, 1955. He worked as a grocery clerk in Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls,
as a salesman for H. J. Heinz Co., and owned and operated Mitey Mart. He was
a salesman for Hillyard Chemical Company and refinished hardwood floors for
over 20 years. He was a member of the Iona Lions Club.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and held the office of High Priest. Duane was an avid skier, enjoyed
hunting and fishing, loved his Harley as well as fixing things.

Benson and Bailey Young
He was preceded in death by a son, David Reed Browning and 2 sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 12 noon Saturday, May 14, 2005,
at the Iona LDS 2nd Ward (Iona Rd & Ririe Hwy), with Bishop Kenneth Wrightson
officiating.
The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to
the services at the church.
Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood
Funeral Home, P. O. Box 51434, Idaho Falls, ID. Military rites will be performed
by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
