Gregory Steven Cunningham, 61, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away June 12, 2015, at his daughter's home in Idaho Falls. He was under the care of Encompass Hospice and his daughter, Heather.
Greg was born February 16, 1954, in Hazel Park, Michigan, to Archibald S. Cunningham and Ruth Williams Cunningham. He grew up in Michigan with his mother and sisters. Later he moved to Idaho Falls to attend school at Idaho State University. He obtained a degree in corporate training and vocational education.
Greg made his home in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he worked as a woodworker and salesman. He was very skilled in and had a passion for making unique designs for his client's kitchens and homes.
Greg loved to spend time with his grand kids. Teaching them how to build things, showing them football moves and showing them his love of reading. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters at the Eagles Lodge playing bingo, pool and dancing. He loved reading, crossword puzzles and playing a round of golf with his friends.
Greg is survived by his
daughter, Heather Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID;
son, Greg (Julie) Cunningham of Commerce Township, MI;
daughter, Sarah Cunningham of Shelby Township, MI;
son, Dave Kays of Fort Lauderdale, FL;
sisters, Jennifer McNichol, Vicki Youngman, Debra Waggener;
and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Cunningham and father, Archibald Cunningham.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Ave, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
