GREGORY AZBILL IDAHO FALLS, ID - Gregory Michael Azbill, 57, of Ammon, died September 10, 2004, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was under the care of the Aspen Foundation for Hospice Care. He was born October 14, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri to Ralph William Azbill and Dolores Bast Azbill. He grew up and attended schools in the Las Vegas area. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He married Victoria Joan Wilson November 15, 1986, in Ventura, California. He retired from the Oxnard Police Department as a homicide detective. He lived in California, in Rigby for ten years, then in Ammon for the past 2-1/2 years. He managed Columbia Paint and Coatings until he resigned due to ill health . He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Surviving are: Mother: Dolores Azbill, Boerne, TX Wife: Vicki Azbill, Ammon, ID Daughter: Susan Yee, Nampa, ID Daughter: Christine Chacon, Visalia, CA Nephew: Jarrod Azbill, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: John Azbill, Mesa, AZ Brother: Ralph Azbill, Mesa, AZ Sister: Madonna Potter, Boerne, TX 4 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004, at the Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, with Reverend Caleb Vogel of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, both at Wood East Side Chapel. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Honor Guard will perform rites at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Primary Children’s Hospital, P. O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, UT, 84158-0249, or to Aspen Foundation for Hospice Care, 3470 Washington Parkway, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83404. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
