Grant C. Ward - 02/08/2003 Grant C. Ward - 02/08/2003 GRANT C. WARD IDAHO FALLS, ID: Grant Charles Ward, 81, of Idaho Falls, died February 8, 2003, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. He had been ill for several years and is now at peace. He was born at November 24, 1921 at Willard, Utah to David Charles and Marie Barker Ward. He attended college at Weber, Utah and University of Utah majoring in drafting, engineering and psychology. He took basic training in the U. S. Army Air Force at San Antonio and Texas A and M. and his advance training at Lubbock, Texas. He served as 1st Lieutenant, flying a twin engine Cessna out of French Africa and Italy dropping paratroopers and supplies during World War II. Before his retirement he owned and operated Wards Carpeting and Owen Distributing. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Everyone who knew Grant will remember his love for flying, fishing and photography and his contributions to local charities. He will be greatly missed by his long time friend and companion, Velma Meacham. Grant has three children from a previous marriage and three grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Bob Ward, and his wife from Casper, Wyoming. His parents and a brother, Dick Ward of Casper, Wyoming preceded him in death.. At his request, there will be no viewing and he will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of WoodFuneral Home. If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
