GRANT STODDARD
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Grant Leslie Stoddard, 97, of Idaho Falls, died September 27, 2006, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center
He was born October 13, 1908, at Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John W. Stoddard and May J. Wadsworth Stoddard. He lived in Lewisville, Taylor, and Idaho Falls.
On September 16, 1937, he married Virginia Minnie Sessions in Idaho Falls. On May 16, 1947, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He farmed near the Lewisville Highway and previously owned and operated a trucking business.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he had served in numerous callings including Ward and Stake Finance Clerk, Seminary Facilities Director, Sunday School Superintendent, and Scoutmaster. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horses, traveling, and ironwork. Grant especially loved spending time with his family.

Wife: Virginia Stoddard, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Dale L. (Judy) Stoddard, Scottsdale, AZ
Son: Larry G. (Annette) Stoddard, Pocatello, ID
Daughter: Sandra M. (Dennis) McCafferty, Idaho Falls, ID
7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS 26th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive, with Bishop James Hunter officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Monday from 10-10:40 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

Grant and Virginia were my favorite neighbors when they lived on East 16th Street. Grant often came across the street to help when he saw that I had started a heavy task. I loved to sit and visit and listen to stories of his life. He will be greatly missed.
