GRANT W. FIELD
IDAHO FALLS, ID --Grant Wendell Field, 85, formerly of Idaho Falls, died February 23, 2003, at the Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Care Center in Boise.
He was born January 17, 1918, at Idaho Falls, to John Franklin Field and Ceretta Empey Field. He attended Ammon Elementary and graduated from Ammon High School. He then attended the University of Idaho, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture. He served in the U. S. Navy for two years.
On May 8, 1981, he married Marie G. Garner in Idaho Falls. He taught school in Heyburn, Burley, and Ucon. He also worked as a real estate agent, for Kraft Foods for nine years, and for Toledo Scale Repair for two years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and collecting guns. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and granddaughter, Linda Marley. Surviving are:Son: Steven Grant Field, Boise, IDStepson: Richard Martin, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Maurine Burgie, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Ruth Reed, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Lois Tenney, Ogden, UTand one Grandchild, Linda Marley.He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Grandview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop Grand Leavitt officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
