Grace Anderson - 12/17/2002 Grace Anderson - 12/17/2002 GRACE W. ANDERSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Grace Winward Anderson, 96, of Idaho Falls, died December 15, 2002, at the Idaho Falls Care Center. She was born March 14, 1906 at Whitney, Idaho to Abraham Winward and Cecilia Marie Hansen Winward. She attended grade school in Whitney and graduated from high school in Preston, Idaho. On December 13, 1926, she married Howard Wilford Anderson in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple two days later. She was a homemaker and also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the LDS Hospital Nursery. Her husband passed away on December 24, 1969. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held various positions over the years, including Relief Society President and ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. She served two missions, one to the Western States Mission from 1925-1926 and later to the Florida Tallahassee Mission from 1975-1976. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, making quilts, and studying the scriptures. (June) Winward, Billings, MTSister: Ida Roberts, Nampa, IDSister: Cecilia Marie (George) Jenson, Reno, NV 14 Grandchildren and 37 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, Howard Winward Anderson, four brothers, and a sister. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Saturday, December 21, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 15th Ward (2051 South Emerson), with Bishop Charles Homer officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family expresses sincere appreciation to the staff at the Idaho Falls Care Center for their kind and attentive care.
