GORDON REID IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Gordon Vernon Reid, 73, of Idaho Falls passed away at his home March 18, 2010, with his loving wife Brenda by his side. Gordon was born on October 26, 1936, in Panguitch, Utah to Vernon Reid and Iletta Dowdell Reid. He married Sherma Ann Huntington September 4, 1959. She preceded him in death. He then married Brenda Hunt October 16, 1993. Gordon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. He loved nature and the outdoors, so it was fitting that his career was working for the Forest Service. He loved and served his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them. He is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters, LeeAnn (Scott) Shaff, Kathryn (Vern) Credille, and Kara (Gordon) Gardner; sisters, Lavenda Moore, Rosemary Price, and Iletta Green; and 9 grandchildren. Preceding Gordon in death are his parents, Vernon and Iletta; his wife Sherma; and a sister, Carol Ann. The family appreciates the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho in the final stages of his life. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, in the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln Third Ward, 2545 Mesa , Idaho Falls, ID. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Burial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, in the Panguitch Cemetery, Panguitch, UT.
