Gordon Francis Burt, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 28, 2017, at his home. He was under the care of Teton Home Health and Hospice.

Gordon was born August 27, 1928, in Rigby, Idaho, to Lester Earl Burt and Ivie Hogan Burt. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. He also attended Idaho State University. He served as a Captain in the United States Army National Guard in the Korean Conflict.

On December 12, 1947, he married Wanda Claire Harris. Together they had four children, Tara, Kini, Matt, and Mark. Wanda passed away June 4, 1994.

On August 28, 1996, he married Shirley LouAna Storer in Idaho Falls. Gordon and Shirley made their home in Shelley, Idaho, where Gordon worked as a maintenance manager at Lincoln Court Retirement Community.

He was a Christian. He enjoyed wood carving and gardening and kept his lawn immaculate. He had a good sense of humor and was an accomplished smart alec. He raised a great family.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Shirley Burt of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tara Lynn Burt of Boise, ID; daughter, Kini B. (David) Klink of Burley, ID; son, Matthew Burt of Stockton, CA; son, Mark G. (Crystal) Burt of Escondido, CA; stepson, Chris (Audra) Lenda of Rigby, ID; stepdaughter, Jenny (Jake) Ricks of Alpine, WY; friends, Ferrell Storer, Kent Jensen and Matt Jensen; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Burt, parents, and granddaughters, Autumn Klink and Angel Burt.
