Goldie N. Elswood - 03/21/2002 Goldie N. Elswood - 03/21/2002 GOLDIE N. ELSWOOD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Loved Mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother passed away March 19, 2002 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 94. She was born in Bergan, Norway May 24, 1907, the daughter of Hyrum and Emma Nielsen of Goshen, Idaho. She graduated from Goshen High School in 1926. On July 7, 1925, she married Ernest James (Ernie) Elswood at Salt Lake City. They lived in Shelley for two years then moved to Idaho Falls. They owned the Hudson and Pontiac dealership, later the Elswood Trailer Sales. They also bought the land and developed Sunnyside Trailer Park. They wintered in Mesa until 1991 when they made it their permanent home. Gram loved the outdoors and loved to fish. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Dean) Corey of Mesa, Grandson, Michael (Annette) Corey of Idaho Falls, Granddaughter, Diane Sherwood, Mesa, AZ, Great Grandchildren, Stephanie (Darren) Isham, Howe, ID, Morgan and Derek Sherwood, Mesa; Great, Great Grandchildren, Kourtney, Kyle, and Kinsey Isham of Howe, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, March 24, 2002 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Friends and family will leave from Wood Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m. Monday for Graveside services at 11 a.m. at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
