GOLDIE H. COLBORN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Goldie Hoover Colborn, 89, of Idaho
Falls, died May 13, 2004, at her home.
She was born May 24, 1914 at Firth to Clarence and Kathryn
Hoover. She grew up in the area and attended Riverside Elementary.
On August 15, 1929, she married Kenneth B. Colborn in
Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker.
She loved her flowers and garden, was an avid crocheter
and made afghans for all her children and grandchildren. She played cards
weekly with her family for over 30 years.
Surviving are:
Daughter: Evelyn (Fred) Campagna, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Von (Paula) Colborn, Sandy, UT
Son: Stan (Betty) Colborn, Rexburg, ID
Sister: Bertha Belville, near Spokane, WA
17 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren, and 21 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Juanita Colborn-Storm-Painter
and Janet Colborn Ramey; a son, Kenneth Colborn, Jr.; a grandson, Brent
Colborn; and a great great grandson, Joshua Colborn.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004,
at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Pastor Steve Young officiating.
The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the
services.
Burial will be in Rose Hill under the direction of Wood
Funeral Home.
