TWIN FALLS, ID -- Goldia Marie Hawkins Wray, 88, formerly of Idaho Falls, died March 18, 2003, in Twin Falls, Idaho after a long illness.
She was born October 9, 1914, in Miramont, Arizona, to David Mears Hawkins and Marieann Thomsen Hawkins. The family moved to Colonial Juarez Mexico when she was a young girl. She graduated from the Colonial Juarez Academy. She attended BYU Academy for 1 semester.
She married Everett Myler Wray July 25, 1940, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They lived in Hanford, California for several years, farming and running a diary. The family moved to Idaho Falls in 1951. She worked for Safeway, Bonded Produce, Bestway, Ahlstrom Furniture and then as a bookkeeper for the Idaho Irrigation District for 17 years before retiring to care for her husband. He passed away July 18, 1986.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many and various positions. She was an accomplished baker & candy maker and loved to play games with her children and grandchildren, who loved her and will remember her always.
She moved to Filer in 1997 to live with her son, James and his family.

(Mary) Wray, Filer, IDDaughter: JoAnn (Larry) Croft, Henderson, NVDaughter: Sharon (Bill) Felton, Stone Mountain, GASon: Jeryl (Sheryl) Wray, Linden, UTDaughter: Rochelle (Dave) Greenhalgh, Idaho Falls, IDBrother: Albert Hawkins, Hanford, CASister: Ruth Dorsett, St. George, UTSister: Naomi Jepson, Mesa, AZ25 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, a grandson, and a great-grandson.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, (9th and Boulevard), with Bishop Bowen Huntsman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
