Goldena Mae (Butler) Covert

Goldena Mae Covert, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 20, 2022.

Goldena was born April 5, 1952, in Shelley, Idaho, to Gifford G. Butler and Bessie Mae Cranford Butler. She grew up and attended schools in Firth and Idaho Falls.

On August 16, 1969, she married Faral Melvin Covert in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Goldena and Faral made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they raised their 3 children.

Goldena was an amazing woman! She was a faithful Christian who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cleaning and socializing on Facebook.

Goldena is survived by her loving husband, Faral Melvin Covert of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Travis Covert of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, April (Eric) Barzee of Idaho Falls; brother, George Alvie (Martha) Butler of FL; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sheila Jack; sister, Virginia Cook; and two brothers, Gene Butler and James Butler.
