Gloria Mclaughlin

Gloria "Cissie" Proso McLaughlin, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 23, 2013, at her home of causes incident to age. Cissie was born April 22, 1924, in Butte, Montana, to Angelo Proso and Margaret Cima Proso. She grew up and attended schools in Butte and Idaho Falls, where she graduated from high school. She has also lived in Trout Creek, Montana, and Salt Lake City, Utah. On February 3, 1953, she married Theodore Andrew Paul Samargis II in Butte, Montana. They had two children, Sandra and Theodore III. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, Cissie worked as an usher at the Paramount Theater, on the assembly lines at Frenches, and as a housekeeper at the Westbank. Ted passed away February 24, 1975. On February 2, 1979, she marred Samuel Alvin McLaughlin in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He passed away October 13, 1998. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Cissie enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter and going to the zoo with her grandchildren. She loved to fish, her dogs, and collecting clowns. She especially loved to spend time with her family. Cissie is survived by Daughter, Sandra Brown of Salt Lake City, UT; Son, Ted (Raynna) Samargis III of Idaho Falls, ID; Grandson, Mark Meyer, and his children, Nick Meyer, Hannah Meyer, Hailey Meyer Grandson, Brett (Wendy) Meyer; and their children, Colten Bean, Phoenix Bean, Memphis Meyer, and Ireland Meyer Granddaughter, Amber Raynna Samargis; and her daughter, Emma B. McGiffin and Baby Angel, her puppy She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and a brother, Frank Proso. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Blessed John Paul Catholic Community officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
