AMMON, ID -- Gloria G. Talamantez Ferguson, 67, of Ammon, died December 27, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 28, 1940, in Brackettville, Texas, to Babe Octivano Talamantez and Mary Eleanor Galvin Talamantez. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley. Before settling in Idaho Falls for most of her life, she lived in Takama, Nebraska, and Shelley, Idaho.
She married Duane Robinson. Their union produced four children. She and Duane were later divorced. She married Larry Ferguson. Together they had two children. Gloria and Larry divorced. In 1983 she married Jim Jockumson in Idaho Falls. They later divorced. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and worked at SOS Transportation, owned by her son Randy Robinson. She was also affiliated with the Eagles Lodge and served her community as a Foster Parent.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but she loved all religions. Gloria enjoyed cooking, puzzle books, crossword puzzles, listening to music, singing, and dancing. Her entertainment was winning at Fort Hall, Wendover, and Jackpot. She was a very lucky lady. She enjoyed telling her kids and grandkids wonderful stories, and taking long road trips. Most of all, she had a selfless heart.

Sister: Josie Craig, Idaho Falls, ID
Best Friend who was like a Sister: Carol Fouts, Idaho Falls, ID
15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lewis Robinson, a daughter, Donna Robinson, and two brothers, Alfred and Homer Talamantez.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Kevin Croft, a counselor in the Ammon LDS 5th Ward Bishopric, officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday for one hour prior to services, both at Wood East Side.
Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
