ZWEIFEL iDAHO FALLS, ID -- Glenn Felix Zweifel, 78, of Idaho Falls, died May 14, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of an extended illness. He was born January 5, 1924 at Dubois to John Zweifel and Hermina Eliza Felix Zweifel. He attended elementary school in Medicine Lodge and high school in Roberts. Following graduation he attended Ricks College and later Eastern Idaho Technical College. He married Margaret Agnes Withers on November 15, 1946 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a farmer and cattle rancher and lived in Monteview, Spencer and Dubois. He also had the opportunity to play a part in the movie “Far and Away”. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His hobbies included reading, riding, roping, rolling craps, gardening, fishing and bird feeding. He enjoyed chuckwagon cookouts, cattle drives and wagon trains. He loved old time country music and giving free advice. Dad always enjoyed creating and inventing new things. His best idea, though, was marrying Mom! His greatest creations were his children. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. Dad will be remembered for his beautiful hair, his red suspenders and derby hat. He had bright, smiling eyes and a wonderful sense of humor. He always enjoyed getting together with his family and friends. Dad leaves a legacy of the importance of families and hard work. Surviving are:Wife: Margaret Zweifel, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Steve (Pam) Zweifel, Monteview, IDDaughter: Arlene (David) Sargis, Idaho Falls, IDSon: David (Annette) Zweifel, Dubois, IDDaughter: Linda (Richard) Hill, Boise, IDSon: Robert (Anna) Zweifel, Mesa, AZDaughter: Kathy (Lani) Schofield, Buhl, IDBrother: Frank (Dodie) Zweifel, Billings, MTSister: Della Chester, Orem, UTSister: Anne Gillis, Orem, UTSister: Thelma (Blaine) McKinlay, Orem, UT 31 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by both parents, four sisters and two brothers. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Monteview LDS Church, with Bishop John Smuin officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in West Jefferson Memorial Park at Terreton. The family suggests donations be made to the LDS Missionary Fund. If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
