Glenn C. Porter

Glenn C. Porter, loving husband of Sherry Porter, passed away March 5, 2022, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Glenn was born November 1, 1965, in Idaho Falls at the Sacred Heart Hospital to LaNae Lee Porter.

He grew up mostly in Idaho, but also spent time in Texas, Montana, and Nevada. He went to school mostly in Idaho Falls.

He worked as a truck driver and mover for Roche Moving and Storage. He later worked as a mechanic. He worked during the summer months at Sage Raceway. He loved cars and drag racing. He was kind, humorous, and had a big heart. He got along mostly with everybody.

After twenty years of knowing each other, on July 10, 2010, he married Sherry Faye Cox at a ceremony held on the grandparents farm in Shelley, Idaho.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Porter; daughter, Jessica Taylor; son, Damien Porter; step-children, Torie (Ria) Cowley, Cyarrin Jones, Autumn (Nick) Brasuell; mother, LaNae Lee Parsons; sisters, Terri Snarr, Tamara (Joe) Davis; brothers, Shane Parsons, Mark (Patricia) Porter; four grandchildren; seven nephews and four nieces.

He is preceded in death by his step-father, Edward Parsons.

He is loved and will be missed by many.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Freeman Park, shelter nearest the river. Look for the sign.
