Glenda Judy

GLENDA M. JUDY IDAHO FALLS, ID - Glenda Marlean Judy, 71, of Ammon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, returned home on June 17, 2004, from her earthly home, of natural causes. She was born September 25, 1932, at Ririe, to Alvin Andrew Tirrell and Eva Preal Purser Tirrell. She spent her early years on farms in Antelope and Labelle, and later, helped take care of and serve her family in Terreton, Idaho. She worked very hard caring for her younger brothers and helping her mother. She attended schools in the Ririe area, graduating from Roberts High School. Following high school, she graduated from Ricks College with a degree in nursing. On November 4, 1955, she married Darwin Wayne Judy in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, and they were blessed with six children. She loved her family with a passion as they would work together. She especially loved to hear her children sing and perform. She rejoiced during her family's accomplishments and yet was a great comfort in time of trial and tribulation. Later in life, she felt a great desire to become a nurse and gave compassionate service to all those who stood in need. She struggled to reach her goal, and with perseverance and great sacrifice, she realized her dream. It meant the world to her to care for her patients. They in turn thought the world of her as she cared for and served them. No matter who you were, there was always a place for you in her heart. Glenda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a pianist for the primary, served in the primary presidency, as visiting teacher, in Young Womens, as a Cub Scout leader, and was in the leadership of the Stake Young Marrieds. She loved seeing Dad's cows in the pasture. It was her own little 'Shangri'La.' She loved seeing her grandchildren go fishing at Grandpa's Pond. Surviving are: Son: Val W.
