Glenda P. Geisler - 02/23/2002 Glenda P. Geisler - 02/23/2002 GLENDA P. GEISLER SAN JOSE, CA -- Glenda Pettingill Geisler, 94, formerly of Idaho Falls, died February 19, 2002, at the O'Conner Hospital in San Jose, California. She was born January 27, 1908, at Willard, Utah, to John Ulysses Pettingill and Armeda Josephine Johnson Pettingill. The family moved to Rigby when she was young and she grew up and attended schools there. She graduated from Rigby High School. She married Robert Walter Geisler on July 27, 1927 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. From 1934-1941 she worked as a salesperson for J.C. Penney Co. both in Rigby and Idaho Falls. In 1941 she began working as a teller at First Security Bank. She later worked at Bank of Eastern Idaho and the Bank of Idaho. During her retirement years she served as a Pink Lady at the LDS Hospital and she and her husband enjoyed traveling to Arizona for the winter months. She served a one year term (July 20, 1980 to July 21, 1981) on the United States Federal Grand Jury in Boise, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions in the Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday School. She enjoyed playing Bridge; stitchery; traveling; gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, Kari, Jana, David and Wade. (wife, LaNae Norton) Pettingill, Yuma, AZSister: Rhea (Ross) Covington, Rexburg, ID 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, February 25, 2002, at the Idaho Falls 14th Ward (651 Gladstone), with Bishop Melvin Georgeson officiating. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
