GLEN H. COX
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Glen H. Cox, 80, of Idaho Falls, died December 9, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1922, at Ogden, Utah, to Orson Franklin Cox, Milburn, Utah, and Althea Betsy Hobson Cox, Swan Lake, Idaho. He attended schools in Ogden, Utah, and Oxford, and Downey, Idaho, graduating from the Downey High School in 1940.
He served in the U. S. Army in the 32nd Infantry during World War II, stationed in the Phillippines and Japan as an aircraft electrician and in the Military Police.
He married Verdis Ilean Bloxham of Downey, Idaho, on October 31, 1940, and moved to Pocatello, Idaho. Glen worked many years in the retail industry in Pocatello and in 1969 moved to Idaho Falls, where he became a licensed insurance representative. He spent 26 years in the insurance business, eventually owning his own agency until he sold it in 1985. He continued to work as a part-time insurance representative until his full retirement in April, 1998.
Glen was an avid outdoorsman. He spent many wonderful hours hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Glen was most proud of his family, his wife and seven children, and the love they have always shared of the outdoors and for each other.

Cox, Hermiston, ORDaughter: Carla Cox Niemeier, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Sandra (Wayne) Skelton, Irwin, IDSon: Scott B. (Debra) Cox, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Jeffry Glen (Tammy) Cox, Rigby, IDSon: Cory Jay (Kathy) Cox, Iona, ID 17 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Franklin J. Cox, a sister, Colleen Cox, a son-in-law, Chris Martin Niemeier, and a great granddaughter, Makayla Spencer.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m Friday, December 13, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Bob Rapp officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Friday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Franklin County Veterans Team.
Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Oxford, Idaho Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
