GLADYS SCOTT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Gladys Backlund Scott, 85, of Idaho Falls, died November 25, 2007, at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
She was born February 9, 1922, in Riverdale, Idaho, to Daniel Backlund and Elena Nelson Backlund. She grew up and attended schools in the area.
On September 18, 1944, she married Robert "Allan" Scott in Dillon Montana. He preceded her in death April 6, 2003. She was a mother and homemaker as well as a licensed beautician. She also worked various jobs outside the home.
She was active in the Parent Teacher Association while her children were in school. She enjoyed knitting afghans, sewing, gardening, baking, and the outdoors. Gladys especially loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Alana Scott (Stan) Janes, Meridian, ID
Son: Larry A. Scott, Idaho Falls, ID
5 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery.

I am sorry for your guys loss. Gladys was my favorite. I loved her so much, she was like a grandma to me. A hole is in my heart now that she is gone. Hope all is well and hope you guys can move on and know that she can talk and walk again! :D
