KINZER POCATELLO, ID -- Gladys Mae Kinzer, 89, of Pocatello, died April 13, 2003, at the East Campus Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. She was born October 28, 1913, in Hamer, Idaho, to Oscar Robert Christenson and Eliza Allen Christenson. She grew up and attended schools in Hamer and graduated from Rexburg High School. She married WIlfred M. Kinzer October 30, 1937 in Idaho Falls. They lived in Rexburg until 1943, in Idaho Falls until 1999, when then moved to Chubbuck. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending Relief Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing Canasta, embroidery, babysitting everyone's children, and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are:Husband: Wilfred M. Kinzer, Chubbuck, IDSon: Richard M. (Rae) Kinzer, Salt Lake City, UTDaughter: Roberta Taylor, Pocatello, ID 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, both brothers, Oscar Claude, and Jack Adna Christenson, and both sisters, Mary Juanita Hemming and Melda Ruth Dalling. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Frank Johnston officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday for one hour prior to services on Saturday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
